Digital Fabrication Education for Brussels
Art schools workshops
[EN] Last month, the first of a series of workshops tailored for Brussels art schools and organisations took place at FabLab.iMAL, with students from the ERG (École de Recherche Graphique). This month we will welcome in our lab students from La Cambre and the Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts.
[FR] En mars, FabLab.iMAL a accueilli pendant une semaine des étudiants de l’ERG (École de Recherche Graphique) pour le premier workshop d’une série organisée spécialement pour les écoles et organisations artistiques de Bruxelles. Durant le mois d’avril, nous allons recevoir des étudiants de La Cambre et l’Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts.
[NL] Vorige maand, vond de eerste workshop van een reeks van workshops op maat gemaakt voor kunstscholen en verenigingen in Brussel plaats in FabLab.iMAL, met studenten van ERG (École de Recherche Graphique). Deze maand gaan we studenten van La Cambre en de Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts in ons lab onthalen.

Cimatics presents an exhibition exploring our digital surroundings

[EN] Our colleague Cimatics presents The Digital Now, an exhibition series which aims to look thematically at relevant artifacts within the current artistic context and media art related discourse. This first edition, "Drones/Birds: Princes of Ubiquity" draws its inspiration from the New Aesthetic movement, with a focus on the ways we experience our digital condition: always on, always there.
[FR] Cimatics présente The Digital Now, une série d’expositions qui vise à poser un regard thématique sur des artefacts pertinents, au sein du contexte artistique actuel et des débats liés aux arts numériques. La première édition, intitulée "Drones / Birds: Princes of Ubiquity", s’inspire du mouvement New Aesthetic et se concentre sur la manière dont nous vivons notre condition numérique: “always on, always there”.
[NL] Cimatics presenteert The Digital Now, een reeks tentoonstellingen die volgens bepaalde thema’s, en binnen de huidige artistieke context en de discussies rond mediakunst, relevante artefacten wil onderzoeken. Deze eerste editie, "Drones / Birds: Princes of Ubiquity" is geïnspireerd op de New Aesthetic. Er wordt gefocust op hoe we onze digitale levenswijze, "always-on" en "always-there"’, ervaren.

De jaarlijkse lenteavondmarkt in Drogenbos vindt dit jaar plaats op zaterdag 27 april, van 17u tot 21u.
Het biodiversiteitsproject 'Het Moeras' uitgewerkt door de Gemeente Drogenbos, in samenwerking met Regionaal Landschap Pajottenland en Zennevallei, heeft als doel de groene open ruimte rondom het museum en de hoeve van Felix De Boeck te versterken. De biotopen van fauna en flora worden op een gebied van ongeveer 5ha vergroot. Nieuwe percelen werden hiervoor aangekocht door het Felixart Museum met de hulp van de Vlaamse Overheid. De eerste fase is reeds gestart met de aanplanting van een nieuw stuk boomgaard aan de Kuikenstraat.
